Word of Mouth

Hello Everyone:
As you are aware from my Facebook post yesterday. I gave an update on conducting our first Bible Study at a Memory Care Community in No. Chelmsford, MA. This new adventure America about by "Word of Mouth." We have all heard this frase in the past, and this time is no exception. I believe that this is the third time this has happened. Someone I knew that worked at a Senior Community left to go to another community.

I have had at least three instantses, where I would receive an e-mail or text asking us to visit to start either a Bible Study, or a Monthly Service. How could we say no, when lives are so close to going out into eternity without the Lord.

For our visit to the newest Memory Care Community, we had 10-12 in attendance, not bad for the first gathering. It is expected to grow next month.

The best news is that four (4) folks asked Jesus for forgiveness of sin. Thank you Lord for your Faithfulness.

Saved By Grace

More of God's Encouragement

For it is by grace you have been saved,
 through faith
— and this not from yourselves,
it is the gift of God—
not by works,
so that no one can boast.
Eph 2:8-9 NIV

THANK YOU for your grace Lord !!!!!!

Very Busy Week for Being Retired

Hello Everyone:

Been a couple of weeks since I posted a blog entry. I was under the impression that when you retire, you have a lot of free time on your hands; However; I have also heard it said that people who retire, ask the question, "how did I ever have tine to work" I will tell you this. The time really flies by. Let me give you an example, as indicated by the title of this posting.

Here is a list of our activities over the past week or so. Much easier to make bullet points.

  • Sunday, November 8th; Sang a song while attending Milton Assembly of God, in Milton, NH
  • Sunday, November 8th; Conway Scenic Railway for a Veterans Train Ride
  • Tuesday, November 10th; Follow up doctor visit (no big deal) Also made a hospital visit to see a friend.
  • Tuesday, November 10th; Dinner with some friends
  • Wednesday, November 11th. Bible Study at an Assisted Living Community and also a Nursing Home. Veterans Lunch with the wife for Veterans Day. (Proud to Serve)
  • Thursday, November 12th; Monthly Service at an Adult Day Care Community
  • Friday, November 13; Weekly visit to a nursing home to visit my peeps. Then had some friends over that night to visit.
  • Saturday, November 14th. Monthly Services held at a Nursing Home in the morning, and in the afternoon. Had some very special help from some young children to sing, read a poem and pass out a craft that they had made for the folks.
  • Saturday Afternoon, November 14th; drove to Milton, NH, where we were privileged to be able to sing and Preach the Word on Sunday Morning.
  • Returned home on Monday, November 16th
I assure you that this week I will be going back into the retirement mode, except for a Monthly Bible Study at a brand new community, for us anyway.

We did have a bit of fun this past Monday, 11-16-15; We were wondering if we were going to see any Moose while up North; Oh Well, maybe next time.

Have a great week; I know that I am going to try to do that myself.

Do not Fear; but be Wise

and to love them and enjoy being with them.

God's Comfort

More of God's Encouragement

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,
Who comforts us in all our troubles,
so that we can comfort those in any trouble
with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives,
so also through Christ our comfort overflows.

I'M TIRED!

Hello to all:

I’m tired; yes! Tired of all that we are hearing and seeing in the news. Tired of hearing that Lives Matter. Truth is; it does not matter what your skin color is or what profession you work in. YOUR LIFE MATTERS; PERIOD. When Jesus Christ laid down His life; he laid it down for all of mankind, regardless of Color, Culture, or anything else for that matter. Your life is precious to Him. It is the Human Race that has decreased the value of human life. Does not the Word of God state; “Love Thy Neighbor As Thyself” I know for a fact that we like to pamper ourselves.

I am also tired of hearing about so many infants and toddlers being abused, beaten or murdered. Children are a gift from God. We are to raise them up, and teach them the Word of God, not destroy them at such an early age.

Also; I’m tired of hearing about so many people, regardless of age missing from their homes and communities. No telling how they end up, or even if they are ever found.

One of the things that really bother me is the news we hear of so many drug overdoses taking place in our nation. Drugs have, and are destroying many, many lives due to this horrible addiction.

One last thing of many I could write about; What is going on in our schools? Stabbings, Mass Shootings, copy-cat murder and hatred. Seems like our children/grandchildren are not safe traveling to school or while they are at school.

Is it any wonder that all these things are taking place in our world? We have taken God and His Word out of our schools; we have taken His Commandments off the walls of our public buildings; we have basically told God to leave us alone as a nation. GOD HELP US; and He will if we ask Him too. This Great Nation of ours needs to stop trying to be so Politically Correct, and concentrate on becoming Spiritually Correct!

Not too worry; I also have Good News; According to the Word of God; One day Jesus Christ Himself will return and set up His Kingdom here on earth, and He will straighten this World out from all the Sin that has taken its toll on mankind.

Call upon His Name; and He will answer you.

WORD:

Being Overwhelmed:

More of God's Encouragement
Then He said to them,
My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death.
Stay here and keep watch with Me.
Matt 26:38 NIV
Thank You for showing us that even You got overwhelmed …
And just how much we need each other during those times.
As always, Remember to have a God day !!
Love in Christ.

Where Have I Been?

Hello Everyone:

Yes; I know, I have been off the Radar Screen since my last posting on July 28, 2015. Well; I am happy to say that the Radar Screen has been updated and now I am back on line and doing well.

Several things have changed since July of this year; the most significant change is that my wife Lynne and I have retired. That means that I have left my position of Associate Pastor of the church I had been attending for the last thirty (30) years or so. I had been on staff for the past eleven (11) years. So in the last few months, we have been learning the in's and out's of retirement life.

Even though I am not affiliated with any particular church at the moment; Lynne and I are  continuing the Nursing Home Ministry as of this month. As a matter of fact; we have taken on yet another Alzheimer Community. Our first monthly service there will be on Wednesday, November 18th. This brings the total number of Nursing Home; Assisted Living and Alzheimer Communities to six (6); Thank you Jesus.

Lynne and I feel that just because we are retired; we feel that the Nursing Home Ministry that the Lord has given to us, should be continued. After all; these folks are as close to entering eternity without crossing over the line. They still need to hear the Word of God and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

With regard to retirement; we both have realized that we are almost as busy as when we were working. We have not had that many days just staying home and not doing anything. However; I am sure that we will have those day this coming winter. We won't have to drive out into the snow, except to move the cars when they need to plow the parking lots. That will be a new experience for both of us.

One last note for this blog; Lynne and I are enjoying retirement, but we both know that God is not done with us yet. We both feel that there may be other adventures down the road, and we are praying for the Lord to direct us according to His plans.

Stand By.....more to follow:
