Thanksgiving 2017:

Well! The week of Thanksgiving for 2017 is over. I'm sure that all of us over the past few days have had time to meet with family and friends, and have had plenty of food to eat. A lot of preparations went into all the food that filled the table where we would experience the bounty that we have living in the United States of America. And soon diner is over; perhaps watching a football game or taking a traditional nap, like so many of us enjoy.

Thanksgiving to me is the Spring Board to the remaining holidays for the year. We already see the Christmas decorations displayed in the stores, and we hear Christmas songs being played on various radio stations.

This year, we again enjoyed gathering with what we call the "Breakfast Crew." This has been an activity that has taken place for the last 5-6 years, gathering for breakfast at 7:00 AM, before everyone heads for home, or for the home of family members. This year we had 31 in attendance, with a few new faces joining us. What a great time we had seeing folks we had not seen for several months. A great time was had by all. I had posted pictures in an earlier blog.

In America; we have so much to be thankful for, but most of all, we can be thankful and grateful for God's gift of Salvation to those who have called on His name. Salvation is something that we can be Thankful for each and every day of our lives.

I pray that the remainder of 2017 is filled with Blessings, and that our hearts are filled with Thanksgiving to the Lord for all that He has given us.

Blessings:
Pastor Steve
