Hopefully; this post will not be as long as the one yesterday. My normal routine is to conduct a weekly Bible Study at a local nursing home, and that took place today, after returning from vacation. The Study takes place in two different areas of the facility; one in the nursing home section and one in the assisted living section.
Upon arriving this morning, I was informed that we would be meeting in a different room, and on a different floor. This resulted in having a smaller group than normal consisting of 6 residents and 2 staff members. The study that took place on the assisted living side had 7 residents and 2 staff members. All in all, not bad, but it was good to be back with them
Well; you may ask; why do we go to the nursing homes to begin with. The answer is very simple. The residents of any nursing home, rehab or other long term care need the Lord just like anyone of us; they are closer to stepping into eternity than you or I might be. They all need the Lord. So that's why we do what we do, to win the lost for Jesus Christ.
