A Memorial Day Like No Other

MEMORIAL DAY BLOG 2020:

Hello Everyone:

Before I get into anything else; let me say Happy Memorial Day to all of you, as we pause to remember all those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Also; a BIG SHOUT OUT to those who have served our country in the past and to those who are presently serving in the Military. Thank you for your Service.

A Memorial Day Weekend like no other we have ever seen.

Normally; you might post a blog or a message stating Happy Memorial Day to your family and friends.

This Memorial Day is anything but normal.

• No public events
• No Parades
• Churches are still closed,(that may change this weekend)
• Most beaches are closed
• Mandatory wearing of masks in public
• Most restaurants closed except for take out
• Social Distancing of at least 6 feet apart
• Most non-essential business are still closed
• And the list goes on...

I’m glad to see things starting to re-open again, but I also feel that people will not do what they are being asked to do. If they don’t want to comply, we may see a resurgence of the virus once again.

In the meantime; try to have a great Memorial Day with family and friends while keeping the 6 foot rule.

Window Visits:

My wife Lynne and I went to Town & Country Nursing Center after a two month absents to do window visits with our peeps. A big SHOUT OUT to Leo the Activity Director and Betty the Assistant Activity Director for the day. They both made sure that all the folks that we were going to visit had their shades up and the windows open so we could talk to them. We had a great time visiting. We plan on returning on the 2nd Saturday of June to once again visit at the windows. We, along with the residents are looking forward to the day that we can return and go inside again to carry on our visitation ministry. Those we spoke to today were on the mend and in good Spirits. We also had prayer with all that were visited. Thank you Lord
