"Near to the Heart of God"

Cleland B. McAfee (1866-1944) wrote the words to a hymn entitled "Near to the Heart of God." 

Here is the first verse:

"There is a place of quiet rest
Near to the Heart of God;
A place where sin cannot molest,
Near to the Heart of God,

Chorus:
O Jesus, blest Redeemer, 
Sent from the Heart of God,
Hold us who wait before Thee,
Near to the Heart of God.

My prayer this morning:
Father; hold us so close to you that we may feel the pulse of your heartbeat. So close that we may feel the warmth of Your Presence. Let your peace abound in the hearts of your children that they may know that you are in control....Amen.
