Nursing Home Update: 7-27-16

NURSING HOME UPDATE:

On July 14th, I posted that when I went to make my weekly visit to a local nursing home that we visit every week. I was asked to speak to a new resident. I have spoken to this man on four (4) different weeks. Two weeks ago, during our conversation, I asked him if he wanted to ask Jesus Christ into his heart, as he had informed me that he was worried about his soul (I wish more people felt that way). I led him in the sinners prayer, and he became a child of God. I was informed today that he passed away over this past weekend. Thank you Jesus for this Ministry that you have called me into, and thank you Jesus that now this man is completely healed, and in Your Presence for all of Eternity.

Nursing Home Update 7-14-16

Hello to all:
I have said that this Blog is not only for sending out the "The Word of Encouragement" but; also a look into the life of being a Minister. I don't always get to blog about things that happen, but; then again, there are times that I want to share about the happenings taking place.

Two weeks ago, I went to a local nursing home that I visit on a weekly basis just to say hello to my Peeps. I also see them on the second Saturday of each month when we conduct a Service for them. Most of the very interesting things take place on the weekly visits.

Upon my visit two weeks ago, I was asked to speak to a gentlemen who was a new resident, which I was very happy to do. I did not get to speak to him long, but today I was looking for him and he was pointed out to me, so I asked him if he wanted to talk to me, and if he had any questions that I could try to answer for him.

Due to his physical condition, he has trouble communicating with anyone, but we managed to have our conversation about several things. The statement that really stood out, was when he stated that he was worried about "cleaning his soul".  I informed him that we as human beings do not have the capability, or the power to do that for ourselves, but that Jesus did. From that point, he began to weep, and continued to do so for the remainder of our conversation. I asked him is he wanted Jesus to take care of cleaning his soul, to which he replied "Yes" You know that, that opened the door to lead him the Saving Grace of Jesus Christ. At that point, I was able to lead him in the sinners prayer, and he became a child of the Living God. Thank you Jesus for the privledge and opportunity to speak you name and see a person become part of the Kingdom of God.

My $.02

My $.02:

First; I want to say that my heart morns for the families of those Police Officers that have been killed in the line of duty. I've heard reports of the five (5) fatality short in Dallas. I believe that there have also been Police Officers short in Tennessee and Georgia. My heart goes out to those families as well.

We have been hearing a lot lately about Lives Matter; Do we all understand that the simple fact is that All Lives Matter. God did not create some Nationalities to be loved more than others. He Loves all of us in the same way. Jesus came to die on an Old Rugged Cross, and shed His Blood for every human being. We are all important in His eyes.

Jesus has told us in His Word to love Him and also one another just as much as we love ourselves….

Matthew 22:37-39 KJV

(37) Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

(38) This is the first and great commandment.

(39) And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

We are not going to change things by disarming law abiding citizens. Those who want to commit acts of violence, will still find a way to obtain weapons to kill and destroy families and individuals.   

We need to respect all those who put their lives on the line everyday. Police Officers; Firefighters; EMS Personnel; Doctors and Nurses; and all those who serve in the Military.

All is not is not lost…..There is something that we can do as Nation. PUT GOD BACK IN HIS RIGHTFUL PLACE. Put Him back in the Schools; Put Prayer back in the Schools; Put God back into our Public Buildings and post His Ten Commandments for all to see and live by. Put God back into the Government of The United States, as our Forefathers intended. Seek the Lord and seek His Forgiveness, before His Judgement falls on America.

Only Jesus Christ can change America.
